Residential Bulky Waste Transfer Station

CCRT in conjunction with AJ Waste Systems operates at 22 Burton Drive, Cheshire, CT for all your recycling and waste reduction needs. Since the closing of the town transfer station, CCRT and AJ Waste Systems worked together to provide residential drop-off services for your bulky items.

Our facility is staffed by professional and knowledgeable experts ready to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. Please be sure to check our (PDF Expectable Ideas) to understand what items are allowed in the Drop Off area and the Recycling area. AJ Waste Systems is also available from 8:00AM to 5:00PM at 203-272-1992 to answer any of your questions.

Some items due require a disposal fees due to their physical or chemical make up. We appreciate your cooperation and are happy to help you sort your items appropriately.

 
As of September 2, 2015, AJ Waste Systems and CCRT  can no longer accept Mattress or Box-springs (Foundations) at our facility

 Access to CCRT for Connecticut Residents is available ONLY on Saturdays (CASH ONLY)

from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Residential Drop Off Rates

Disposal in the residential drop off area is charged per pound. Please see the following list for weight limits and cost.

401 – 600lbs -------$50.00
601 – 800lbs -------$60.00
801 – 1000lbs -----$80.00
1001 – 1500lbs ----$125.00
1501 – 2000lbs ----$165.00

Hours of Operation 

Commercially CCRT is open Monday – Fri 7-3:30 only.

Residents are not permitted to use the facility during the week (only on Sat. 8-1) .
